Description
Title: Flared Standing Tulip
This vertical botanical painting of the full stem of the tulip as it is flaring open gives a commanding presence to a wall space. It honors the tulip in all its majesty.
I was the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival poster artist for 2016 and have taken a special interest in tulip, painting them for a show in Anacortes at the Scott Milo Gallery in April. This tall tulip has a mate of similar proportions to look for on this site making a stunning diptych.
Image Size: 11" x 30"
Frame Size: 15.5" x 34.5"
This watercolor is painted on 300# Arches Cold Press paper. It is framed with a white metal contemporary frame, floating on archival backing to show off its deckle edges of the paper and protected with plexiglass. It is ready to hang for your pleasure.
In 2012 I qualified to be a signature member of the Northwest Watercolor Society (NWWS). This is earned by being juried into a select number of local chapter and international watercolor society shows sponsored by NWWS. The initials now follow my signature in recent paintings in this shop.

Sandy Haight replied:
This is very vertical and the site crops the thumbnails to the middle of the flower. Click on it to see the whole bloom!
